What I care about: We use a Margaret Mead quote a lot at The Bridgespan Group: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” I’m awed every day by the leaders, doers, and thinkers whose work reflects this quote – and am humbled by the opportunity to support those groups with the resources, tools, and supports that help them achieve their full potential.

What I bring to this work: A belief in the power of intersections - my work has spanned nonprofits and for-profits, US and international, education and community. The more we work across silos and fences, the stronger our ideas and actions. A commitment to furthering my own journey to support racial equity. A desire to create inclusive teams where everyone can bring their best selves to the work.

My favorite projects: Coaching the incredible set of organizations who have participated in Leading for Impact® Seattle. Supporting the Valhalla Charitable Foundation to make ambitious investments in medical research, early childhood, and improved learning outcomes.

My expertise: Early childhood; impact investing and venture philanthropy; executive team leadership

What I do outside the office: A perfect Saturday includes a CrossFit workout, some outdoor adventures with my husband and small kids, a nap, delicious food, and at least one chance to laugh until you cry.

Education: I earned a BA with honors from Stanford University, and an MBA from the Yale School of Management, where I co-chaired the Yale Education Leadership Conference and co-led the School’s Education Club.

Publications: “Rethinking How Students Succeed,” (Stanford Social Innovation Review, 2015)
